Before you begin your test, please read the following tips to avoid errors:
- Watch our 3-minute Tutorial Video.
- The Metrix COVID/Flu Test requires the Metrix Reader (Gen 2). Earlier versions of the reader will not run the test.
- The Metrix COVID/Flu Test is only authorized for use with anterior nasal swab samples. Review the sample collection tips below before proceeding.
- Metrix is not authorized for sample pooling or alternative sample types, and results cannot be guaranteed.
If you encounter any issues when using the test, please take photos showing the issue you observed and the white label on the bottom of the test package, and contact us at support@aptitudemetrix.com. We will offer assistance and free replacement tests. You can also find more information in the Troubleshooting and Replacements articles.
Nasal Swab Collection Tips:
- Blow your nose before collecting your sample. Too much mucus or other material from the nose can lead to an invalid result.
- Make sure you insert the swab far enough into the nose, and rotate the swab firmly enough along the walls of the nostril, five times each.
- Wait at least one hour after nasal sprays before collecting your sample.
